Strong Classic Americano Coffee
A strong classic Americano emphasizes the bold flavor of espresso while maintaining the smooth, diluted texture that defines this drink.
Ingredients:
- 2 shots of espresso (or a double ristretto for even more intensity)
- 90–120 ml hot water (85–95°C)
- (Optional) sugar to taste
Method:
- Preheat your cup with hot water to maintain temperature.
- Brew 2 fresh shots of espresso.
- Pour the hot water into your cup first, then add the espresso on top to preserve the crema.
- Stir lightly if desired and serve immediately.
Tip for extra strength: Use a double shot of espresso with less water (1:1.5 ratio) instead of the usual 1:2–1:4. This keeps the Americano bold, rich, and full-bodied, perfect for those who want a more intense coffee experience without adding milk or cream.
